Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer begins to form when urothelial cells in the lining of the bladder develop mutations in its DNA causing rapid growth, forming tumors. Over time the tumors can disrupt urinary functions. Bladder cancer can lead to death, and is considered to be in the top 10 most deadly cancers.
Foods that help and why
Colorful fruits and vegetables help stop cell damage. These include foods such as strawberries, watermelon, carrots, blueberries, bananas, etc. Lean Proteins (low fat) are also beneficial for many of the body's cells, especially in the bladder.
Change of getting bladder cancer
There is a 3.57% chance of developing bladder cancer, though people with genetic history have nearly double the chance of obtaining it. This, meaning that your chances of getting bladder cancer from a relative is still relatively low, but a lot higher than the average person.
